  "message": "doc/git-log: move \"Diff Formatting\" from rev-list-options\n\nOur rev-list-options.txt include has a \"Diff Formatting\" section, but it\nis ifndef\u0027d out for all manpages except git-log. And a few bits of the\ntext are rather out of date.\n\nWe say \"some of these options are specific to git-rev-list\". That\u0027s\nobviously silly since we (even before this patch) show the content only\nfor git-log. But moreover, it\u0027s not true; each of the listed options is\nmeaningful for other diff commands.\n\nWe also say \"...however other diff options may be given. See git-diff-files\nfor more options.\" But there\u0027s no need to do so; git-log already has a\n\"Common Diff Options\" section which includes diff-options.txt.\n\nSo let\u0027s move these options over to git-log and put them with the other\ndiff options, giving a single \"diff\" section for the git-log\ndocumentation. We\u0027ll call it \"Diff Formatting\" but use the all-caps\ntop-level header to match its sibling sections.
