  "message": "t7401: use \u0027short\u0027 instead of \u0027verify\u0027 and cut in rev-parse calls\n\n\u0027git rev-parse\u0027 can limit the number of characters in the hash it\noutputs using the \u0027--short\u0027 option, thereby, making the \u0027cut\u0027 invocation\nredundant. Since using \u0027--short\u0027 implies \u0027--verify\u0027 as well, we can\nsafely replace the latter with the former.
